FIXmyTOWN

The “FixMyTown” initiative is a community-driven program aimed at identifying and addressing issues within the town to enhance its overall quality of life. Through this initiative, residents are encouraged to actively participate in the improvement of their surroundings by reporting concerns, suggesting solutions, and collaborating with local authorities and organisations.

The “FixMyTown” initiative empowers residents to take an active role in shaping the future of their community, fostering a sense of civic pride and collective responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the town’s livability and attractiveness.

Once a report is submitted, the data collected will be reviewed by council. Depending on the nature of the issue, it may be prioritised and assigned to the appropriate people for further investigation and resolution. All submissions will be reviewed at the monthly town council meetings.

Common types of issues reported through the form may include:

  • Littering
  • Dog Fouling
  • Public Toilets
  • Pot Holes
  • Street Cleaning
  • Damage to Green Spaces
  • Street Lighting
  • Broken Paving Slabs

The data collected from resident reports is invaluable for town officials and decision-makers as it provides insights into the most pressing issues facing the community. It allows for more efficient allocation of resources, prioritisation of projects, and evidence-based decision-making.

You’ll see posters around Llanfyllin with the quick access QR code to report via a smartphone or tablet, for those with NFC enabled devices, you can tap the poster to open to the reporting form.
